About Us

What's in a name? 

Indeed, what is in a name?, not sure actually. To some degree the uncertainty of meaning is part of why we liked it. How do you pronounce the name?, feel free to decide, we're not sure either. But it does represent a collection of musically like minded people who get together fairly regularly to create, record and release music. Jason Van Vuren - Bass/Vocals; Tim Passarelli - Drums, Jake John - Lead Vocal/Guitar; David Savage - Guitars.

You are what you eat: 

In this case a steady diet of all things musical. Not favoring a particular genre, not excluding a particular style, anything goes. Similar to the uncertainty of the name, the promise of the unknown is why we like this band. Some influences are from the progressive rock vein, singer songwriters, British blues, some from the 1st wave of alternative or hard rock/metal from the 90's. Never know what you're going to get. We like it that way.

How do we do? 

The influences are varied, but there is a consistent theme of self contained bands that cooperatively write, record and perform the music. We play the instruments, we're not professionals but we take it seriously. An absolute minimum of studio trickery has been used. Jake has excellent pitch so no need for correction, we don't rely on click tracks nor the "grid". We practice, refine then record. It's hard work and requires serious effort and commitment. But that's one of the things that makes it worthwhile.

What's in it for me? 

Or put another way, what is the goal of this whole thing? We have careers, families so any delusions of grandeur is silly. This is supposed to be fun. We want to produce music we're proud of, the rest is gravy. This music will not be for everyone, maybe not for anyone but we're good with that. We've enjoyed the ride to this point, and are hoping for more thrills to come, whatever those may be. Peace!
